The Flower Man lives in an African ghetto township. There were no jobs available to support his family – he needed to survive. He started picking up street garbage: beer and soft-drink cans. He cut them up and created beautiful metal flowers and other works of art.
These magnificent creations were discovered by a local church. They had the G.R.E.A.T. idea of helping him help himself and started to sell his items at church fairs, etc.

Now his work is sold to wholesalers who offer them for sale to tourists in Cape Town.
